THIS IS
THE NEWS!
LATEST:
At the end of April,
I will be embarking on a voyage to the southern hemisphere.
With my lady locked in one arm and my guitar carried by
the other, I will be travelling New Zealand to discover
what music gets people excited in the Pacific.
I have
been assured by my good friend Tom, currently living in
Christchurch, that the Folkie scene is quite different
from anything I’ll be used to when frequenting the
Royal Oak in Edinburgh. Even so, I’m hoping to be
playing a short slot in the Bog Bar in Christchurch, days
after I arrive there.
I’m
eager to find out what will be in store. I will return
to Scotland a month later to promote my new album, and
hopefully with some fresh stories to tell of our reckless
travelling.
Recording underway for
'Little Less Care'
Rehearsals
are manically under way in order to perfect every beat
of music for the major up and coming recording of my debut
album ‘Little Less Care’. The Buccleuch Studios
are a tense but thrilling place to be at the moment as
we are also preparing for some live performances coming
our way. See the gigs section to find out when they are.
Keep the 31st May free in your diaries for the official
Album launch at Leith Festival.
New Album to be
released
The
newly formed ‘Burkitt and Stone’ have begun
rehearsing tirelessly for the first of their up and coming
gigs. After a long wait for Holly’s bass to arrive
from Australia (don’t ask), the Buccleuch Studios
are finally ringing with the fresh new sound of contemporary
folk. If you’re desperate to hear it and want to
avoid loitering outside the Buccleuch Studio’s,
then click on the gigs section
of this site to find out how.
